GEN - General Tests

USER test - writes and read USER PWR >>> 100 records (must be loaded)

• Press "USER"

PWR test - runs same tests USER PWR >>> run during power-on (must be unloaded)

• Press "PWR"

DISP test - tests the operator DISP EXIT >>> display and LEDs

• Press "DISP"

RDF test - reads until error, 2 tape marks or RDF RDB >>> "STOP" button

• Press "RDF"

RDB test - reads reverse until error, 2 tape RDF RDB >>> marks or "STOP" button

• Press "RDB"

WRT test - writes until error, LEOT, or "STOP" WRT LWR >>> button; closes tape with 2 tape marks

• Press "WRT"

LWR test - Loop write to read, unloaded testsWRT LWR >>> the read and write circuitry

• Press "LWR"

GOFWD test - for head alignment, moves tape forward with GOFWD ERASE >>> "read enable" on

• Press "GOFWD"

ERASE test - executes a data security erase GOFWD ERASE >>> erases until PEOT or "STOP" button

• Press "ERASE"
